Following our team’s win in the competition “Linköping-The City Center is growing across the river” in 2013, that dealt with the urban development and a new travel center in central Linköping, we have been further commissioned to develop an urban design strategy for the development of Linköping’s inner city. Our work aims to support the local municipality in their process of developing masterplans for Steninge and Stångebro. The planned high-speed railway “Ostlänken“ will pass through our study area and get a new station in Linköping, generating conditions for a growing inner city. The work is done in collaboration with the former competition team members, Sweco (formerly Metro), Sydväst landscape architecture, A&C – consultants and SpaceScape.
