We have been assigned by Norrköping City to design three bridges in Norrköping’s Inner Harbour. The bridges make up an important communication link in the future inner harbour, as well as they are important design elements in the public space.
The bridges are made of steel and will be completed at the factory and placed on site next year, in 2018.
On behalf of SLL and Stockholm City and together with Nivå Landscape Architecture and Tyréns traffic, we have completed a parallel assignment investigating different possibilities for the future transformation of the St Erik area in Stockholm, Sweden.
Delia, our urban designer, just got back after two inspiring days at the Architecture School in Lund. She has been guest jury for the final presentations of the studio project Urban Dynamics, as part of the International Master’s Degree Programme in Sustainable Urban Design.
We were commissioned by The Swedish Institute of Steel Construction to design a festive entrance in steel for this year’s Architecture Gala that took place at the Cirkus Hall in Stockholm. The time schedule was pressed, and it only took three weeks from the first sketch to the finished entrance on site, thanks to a good collaboration with The Swedish Institute of Steel Construction, Smederna AB, who welded the pieces together, and Far from standard event who arranged the lightening. We are pleased with the result and we found the task very joyful to work with!
