BRIDGE NOMINATED FOR ESDA
Our bridge over Varnan in Kristinehamn has been nominated for The European Steel Design Award! The European Steel Design Awards are given by the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS) every two years to encourage the creative and outstanding use of steel in architecture.
Words from the jury: ”This origami-style sculpture beautifully contributes to the landscape bridging the river. The very appropriate use of weathering steel and the integrated design accomplish this folded master piece of a footbridge.”

BRIDGE SHORTLISTED FOR WAF!
We are happy to announce that Folke Bernadotte bridge is shortlisted for the 2021 Transport – Completed Buildings category of World Architecture Festival 2021. The World Architecture Festival is the world’s largest international architectural event, and this years’ winners will be announced in December at the World Architecture Festival in Lisbon. WHITE &R TO DEVELOP GULLMARSPLAN
We are pleased to be assigned a new urban design project in the South of Stockholm. Our work will focus on carrying out a masterplan for the development of the Gullmarsplan – Nynäsvägen area into an urban hub with additions of new housing, workplaces, commerce, service, as well as new meeting places within a vibrant urban environment.
We look forward to this exciting assignment that we will work on in collaboration with White Arkitekter!

STRUCTURE PLAN IN SKÄRHOLMEN
Together with White Architects and Tyréns Traffic, we developed a structure plan for the transformation of Skärholmen’s central areas into a dense urban environment with a fine network of interconnecting streets and mixed use.
Supported by the structure plan, a detailed development plan for Måsholmstorget and parts of Vårbergsvägen is currently being carried out, with the process having started in November 2020, and consultation planned for the autumn of 2021.

KISTAGRENEN IS UNDERWAY
Kistagrenen is currently underway and the first three stations, Norra Ulvsunda, Bromma Blocks, and Bromma Airport will soon open for use. We have been working with the Kistagrenen tramway line for several years, from the early stages to the detailed design of the stops and it is exciting to see the results of the long work! We are currently overseeing the accomplishment of the last eight stations to Helenelund, which are carried out through a design‐and‐build contract.

BEHIND THE IMAGES
Visualisations are an important part of our work as they allow us to show how we think the spaces we create should be designed and experienced. A lot of work is put into making the images as realistic and empathetic as possible. In an article for Nya Tunnelbanan, our colleague Camilla Nordquist talks about how we work with visualisations for the new metro stations along the Yellow Line.
